FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How much does it cost?
A $50 deposit is REQUIRED to book your appointment. This fee is non-refundable but may be used towards your purchase after your session. Your deposit may not be used toward travel fees or hair and make up artist fees. If you choose one of our Prepaid Photography Packages, no additional deposit is required to book your appointment.

Your total cost is determined by you, depending on how many poses, prints, images on CD or retouching packages you choose. All prices are posted online. Check out our pricing page to get all the details.

What should I bring?
Anything vintage that makes you feel sexy and any props with sentimental value, like your favorite teddy bear or your guitar. Check out our ideas page for lots of other suggestions. If you have a specific idea in mind but don't have any props or costumes, contact us and we will try to help you locate them. Don't forget the high heels!

Do you provide the outfits?
While we have a selection of vintage wardrobe choices, we prefer our pin-ups bring their own clothing. This way, your photos will come out uniquely you.

Do you shoot everyday clothing as well?
Only if it's from the 1940's-1950's! We shoot vintage and retro styles, not modern day clothing.

Do you have props?
While we do offer a wide range of items, bringing your own will make certain your shoot is different from anyone else's.

We have several props to choose from, such as old telephones, furniture, vintage hats, holiday items and more. Let us know ahead of time if you are looking for something specific and we will do our best to find it before your photo shoot. Custom props can also be built, however additional fees may apply. Where will the shoot take place?
We shoot in our home studio and on location. If you would like a location shoot, please contact us ahead of time with your location choice. An additional travel fee may apply depending on the distance. Travel fees start at $20.

What if I have to reschedule?
You must give us at least 24 hours notice to reschedule your shoot and keep your $50 deposit. If you reschedule with less than 24 hours notice, half of your deposit will be forfeited. If you do not show up for your appointment with no notice given, your entire deposit will be forfeited. All deposits and prepayments are non-refundable, so canceling your shoot will result in forfeiture of your deposit.

Is the photographer male or female?
Female!

When can I see my pictures?
You will view all your images immediately after your shoot.

When do I pay for my pictures?
You will pay for the images you choose on the day of your shoot. We accept cash and credit/debit card payments through PayPal. SORRY, NO CHECKS ACCEPTED!

How long before I get my pictures?
Please allow 2-3 business days for retouching and an additional 5-7 business days for prints to process and arrive. Images on CD will be available as soon as retouching is complete.

Who prints the pictures?
All our photos are processed at a commercial photo lab in Austin, Tx which exclusively uses Kodak Prime chemistry and Kodak Endura Professional papers. Prints may be ordered with a glossy, matte or metallic finish.

When I buy an image on CD, do I get the copyright?
No! Lone Star Pin-Up retains the copyright to all images created. For high res images on CD, we will include a letter authorizing you to print your images anywhere you like. Images on CD must remain unaltered.

Do you do TFP?
We do LIMITED TFP on select models providing their own vintage clothing, costumes and props. You must arrive with your hair and makeup done in a period style. We will post calls whenever TFP session times are available and they will be filled on a first come, first serve basis. If you contact us requesting to shoot, we will assume you are referring to booking your own paid appointment.

TFP will include three high res, extensively retouched images emailed to the model. Any additional images retouched for promotional use will be emailed to the model in low res form. Custom artwork will be done at the photographer's discretion. All images must remain unaltered.

TFP images may be used by Lone Star Pin-Up for advertising or promotional materials, added to our online gallery, submitted for publication or sold as prints. If you have any objections, please contact us with your concerns before the shoot.
